Named After Great Uncle Laverne - He earned the nickname "Cowboy" as a farmer's son on the prairies of Southeastern Colorado. He fought and gave his life in World War II. His name was passed down to his nephew and then great-nephew, who both emanated his best attributes - kindness, consideration, and a deep love of the open skies of the American West.
